Admission Policy

The school follows a Rolling Admission Policy by which students can apply for admission throughout the year. The admission forms need to be filled in and submitted. Head of School will meet the parents and the candidate. Candidate will meet the Section Co-Ordinator and class teacher. Candidate will be given admission based on performance and previous school records.

GRADE 9 TO GRADE 12

At this level, there are Continuous and Formative Assessments which together form the Internal Grade. At the end of the Semester, there is a Summative Assessment that tests the entire term/year's learning and these marks form the Exam Grade. On the Report Card, the student will receive two grades, one on internal performance and the other one on their performance in the final exam. The student's effort is also monitored and progress is graded. This forms the Effort Grade. For a promotion, it is compulsory for the student to: Pass in First Language, English, Maths, Science and Social Science. The Pass Mark for all subjects is 35% The students cannot be promoted if they fail apart from the compulsory subjects mentioned above. All assessments are graded from A to F, in descending percentage, where F is Below 40% and is considered a low grade.

PREDICTED SCORES FOR GRADE 10 TO 12

The predicted scores will be based on the grades achieved in their internal assessment of the current academic year. NOTE: Students will not be allowed to appear for the term-end exams if: They do not have the required percentage of attendance, Fee has not been cleared.

WITHDRAWAL AND TO POLICY

  • In case of withdrawal of a child from the institution, the parents well in advance with the written format should notify the authorities
  • A 2-month notice period is mandatory.
  • The parents should ensure that all the dues have been cleared. I have read all the rules mentioned in the School Diary and agree to abideby them and all the decisions of the School

Academic Policies

Plato's Academic plan sticks to 2-semester pattern which comprises a series of periodic tests and summative assessments.

PRE-PRIMARY (LKG AND UKG)

At this level, the student's skills are assessed based on the progress of the child. There will be periodic meetings with individual parents as and when required. The parent will have to consult the teachers and Head of School in the event of the student's non-performance and the best possible solution will be discussed. The school will make the final decision in the student's promotion.

GRADE 1 TO GRADE 4

At this level, there are Continuous and Formative Assessments. The teacher maintains detailed reports on each student's progress. The parent will consult the teachers and Head of School in the event of the student not being able to reach the expected level of the course. Keeping the student in mind, the best possible solution will be discussed. The school will make the final decision in the student's promotion.

GRADE 5 TO GRADE 8

At this level, there are Continuous and Formative Assessments which comprise the internal grade. At the end of the semester, there is a Summative Assessment which tests the entire semester's learning. These marks form the exam grade. On the Report Card, the final grade is a calculation of the Continuous Formative Assessment and the exam grades, weighted at 60% and 40% respectively. The students effort is also monitored and progress is graded, this is recognized in the form of the Effort Grade.

For a promotion, it is compulsory for the student to:

  • Baton Pass in First Language, English, Maths, Science and Social Science
  • The Pass Mark for all subjects is 35% contrary to later condition. The students cannot be promoted if they fail apart from the compulsory subjects mentioned above.
  • All assessments are graded from A to F, in descending percentage, where F is below 40% and is considered a low grade.

Behavior Policy

We expect all students to demonstrate respect, responsibility and kindness toward others. Bullying, harassment, or discrimination in any form will not be tolerated.

Health & Safety Policy

The safety and well-being of our students is our top priority. We have comprehensive health and safety protocols, including first aid facilities, emergency procedures and regular safety drills.

Technology Use Policy

Responsible use of technology is encouraged. Misuse of school devices or networks may result in restricted access and disciplinary measures.

Uniform Policy
